Online Individual Counselling
Adults (18+) & Teens (13+)

Online counselling is offered through a video web conferencing platform called Google Meet. This is an easy-access option for those who prefer counselling from the comfort of their own home and find it difficult to attend in-person. Those who want to limit commute times and costs will find it better suited to their schedule.
Requirements from the Client for online counselling:
-
A stable internet connection
-
A constant power source for your device
-
Privacy

I acknowledge that you/your child may be logging in from your home or workspace that is shared with other individuals. But please try your best to find a private space that has minimal disturbance and is away from other individuals so that you feel safe to express what you want to share with me.

In-person Individual Counselling
Adult/minor: R700/45 - 60 min

Pros of In-person counselling:
-
Neutral Location: ideal for clients who want a neutral, private space to talk about their lives and thoughts away from the distractions of work or personal life.
-
Non-verbal cues: the counsellor will be able to read body language that supports verbal communication during in-person sessions. Non-verbal information can at times help a counsellor better understand your feelings and thoughts. However, nonverbal information is not completely lost in video/online format. Seeing a client's environment with video can also offer additional nonverbal insights, but a phone session would not have this advantage.
-
Amnenties: parking, serene space at Highlands Centre, White River.

Discuss with your counsellor to understand which mode is best for your mental well-being goals.

Couples Counselling
Joint session: R900 per couple/45 - 60 min
Individual session: R500pp/45-60 min

More individuals are open to counselling as a means to:
-
save their relationship;
-
soften the impact of separation;
-
nurture what's already there by looking for opportunities to grow and change.

The aim of couples counselling is to help each individual:
-
improve communication styles that will help the couple work through current and future challenges
-
help identify the root of what is shaping their conflict

When should you go for couples counselling?
-
If each party is willing to focus on yourself
-
If each party is willing to focus on their individual impact on the relationship

If one/both individuals are not willing to do either, it would be better to attend individual counselling instead.
